May 28, 2007 - On May 8, 2007, Stevenson & Palmer
Engineering, Inc. (SPE) completed a significant transaction involving
3 of its operations, all based in Savannah, GA
Stevenson & Palmer held two wholly owned subsidiary companies – eGeo
Services, Inc. and Saussy Engineering, P.C. eGeo was a firm based
in Savannah specializing in remediation of contaminated soils and
groundwater. Saussy, also based in Savannah, specialized in structural
and civil/site. SPE completed a stock transaction, selling all
shares of both subsidiary companies to AEVenue, LLC. Stevenson & Palmer
also sold the assets of its Savannah, GA municipal operations to
AEVenue.
Both subsidiary companies were acquired by Stevenson & Palmer
in recent years. This transaction will allow SPE to focus on its
strength for over 47 years—serving the water/sewer and other
engineering needs of Georgia’s local government communities.
The southeast portion of Georgia will continue to be served by
any one of Stevenson & Palmer’s other three fully staffed
offices in Smyrna, Albany and Augusta. Another regional office
may be opened in the Savannah area in the near future as the situation
warrants.

Board of Directors Election
The
Board of Directors of Stevenson & Palmer
conducted its Annual Board Meeting March 27, 2007. This meeting
follows the Annual Shareholders meeting held March 16, 2007.
The shareholders elected the following persons to the Board of
Directors, from left to right in the picture: James A. Willson,
II; Ronny Dudley; Charles A. Welch; William D. White; and Fred
T. Finney. The
Board elected Charles A. Welch as Chairman, and William D. White
as President/CEO.
Stevenson & Palmer is an ESOP majority owned
company. The Board of Directors also elected the following persons
to the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Administrative Committee:
Curtis R. Barber; Bruce Maples; William D. White; and James A.
Willson, II. President/CEO William D. White also announced the
recent appointments/re-appointments of the following Regional Managers
for the indicated regional office: Bruce Maples – Albany;
James A. Willson, II – Augusta;
Michael Sikes – Savannah; and William D. White – Smyrna.
President/CEO William (Bill) White who has been employed at Stevenson & Palmer
for over 18 years views the recent transition of leadership to
be one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding experiences
of his long tenure. The assemblage of this new leadership promises
to continue the quality traits for which the Company has long been
known.
