Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Locust Grove until 11:00 am, April 1, 2010, at the City Hall Council Meeting Room located at 3644 Highway 42 South, Locust Grove, GA. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:01 am. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time or receipt of bids for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days.
The work to be done consists of the furnishing of all materials, labor and equipment for the complete construction of the Locust Grove Connecting Sidewalks Project, including, but not limited to, erosion control, maintenance of traffic, grading, excavation, subgrade preparation, concrete surface course, sidewalks, signs, pavement marking, landscaping and grassing.
Bid packages (plans and specifications) will be available for pickup on March 8, 2010. To obtain a bid package, please contact designer Doug Munnell at the office of Stevenson & Palmer Engineering,Inc., 2430 Herodian Way, Suite 101, Smyrna, GA, to arrange for delivery or pickup and payment. Phone number (770)952-2481. There will be a non-refundable charge of $150.00 for the bid package. Make checks payable to Stevenson & Palmer Engineering Inc.
A pre-bid conference (not mandatory) for all Bidders will be held in the City Council meeting room, Locust Grove City Hall, 3644 Highway 42 South, Locust Grove, Georgia on March 22, 2010 at 11:00 am. Only Bidders on record with Locust Grove as having received an original bid package may submit proposals. All bidders must be registered with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
